So after getting frustrated, I decided I needed to slow down a bit. There had been too much stay and go.
Since I stayed in Seattle, I decided to spend a day exploring the city. I visited the Seattle Aquarium and the Pike Place Market.
I also saw the waterfront of Puget Sound and some ferries scurrying across the water.
Downtown Seattle wasn't that bad. The parking was crazy expensive and the hills are very, very steep. Another downtown that I like.
Although the vendors were all closing up, I still got to see the market fairly easily since there probably weren't as many people crowding through the aisle. I thought a guy tried to reach in my purse, and that really sent my heart racing. But in the end I think he just bumped into me. Either way, I held my purse a little tighter and closer after that. I missed the guys throwing the fish, but I saw (and smelled) where they were. I saw them packing up the fish. And I saw some huge fish!
The aquarium was okay. I loved getting to see the starfish and the touchable things. I only touched a few things with a finger or two. It looks like a great place to take kids to, though.
I ate lunch downtown and had some fantastic salmon. Then I drove around for a bit and took some pictures of Qwest Field and downtown.
By the time I got back to my hotel, I had a major headache. I was down for the night.
Today I leave Seattle and I feel much better about where I am, where I'm going, etc, etc.
From here I'll go to Port Angeles to ferry across to Victoria! So excited to put my passport to use! And to see everyone when I get there, too. Oh, Canada!
